NC GreenPower

NC GreenPower is a program designed to promote and provide renewable energy and clean air in North Carolina. Surry-Yadkin EMC, your electric cooperative, is participating along with other electric utilities, environmental groups, suppliers of renewable energy and Advanced Energy of North Carolina to promote and provide renewable energy and clean air in our state.

Now, YOU have the power to help protect our environment. Your contribution, as little as $4 for a block of 100 kilowatt hours of renewable energy per month, will fund the development of new renewable energy sources.

For your convenience, your voluntary contribution will be added to your monthly electric bill each month. Those monies are then forwarded to NC GreenPower.

The North Carolina Utilities Commission created NC GreenPower to provide North Carolinians with greater options for their energy sources. All contribution will be collected and given in full to NC GreenPower. Surry-Yadkin EMC keeps none of the monies collected.

To get involved in the NC GreenPower program, call Member Services at Surry-Yadkin EMC, (336) 356-8241 or (800) 682-5903. For additional information, visit NC GreenPower’s website at www.ncgreenpower.org.
