Welcome to Surry-Yadkin Electric Membership Corporation.  We are glad to have you join as a member of this co-op.  To apply for service, we request that all new applicants come into our office, with two forms of identification, to sign up their account.

Here are a few helpful tips for signing up your new electric account:

  1. Bring in two forms of ID (Drivers License and Social Security cards are preferred).
  2. If you are moving into a property that already has electricity, please have the meter number as well as the reading off the meter with you when you come in.  This will help us accurately locate your property.
  3. Deposits are required.  Read through our "Billing" section for helpful  information about our policy on deposits.
  4. Feel free to call our office if you have any questions or would like to get an idea of what you will be expected to pay when you arrive in the office.
