Payment Options

Mail:  Bills may be paid by mail.  Remit your payment to PO Box 63067, Charlotte, NC 28263.  We ask that you please do not mail cash!  Checks or money orders gladly accepted.

Office:  You are welcome to bring your payment to our office Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Payment Kiosk: The payment kiosk offers members a convenient option to pay their bills quickly at any time, day or night.  The kiosk is located in the second lane of the drive thru lane at our office in Dobson.  The kiosk, which requires members to have their account numbers for access, accepts cash, checks, and debit or credit cards.  

Online:  Members can view and pay their bill on this site.  You will need a valid email address and your account number to register.

***Payment by Phone:  Pay your bill 24/7 through our automated payment system.  Just call (888) 223-2059.  You will need your account number to make a payment. 

Retail Locations:  Payments can now be made at all area Wal-Mart stores, and the La Tapatia store in Dobson, for a minimal fee (set by the retailer).  You must present your electric bill when paying.  Payments made at retail locations will post to your account in 1-3 business days.  Please note - if your account is subject for disconnection, please choose another payment method so there will not be an interruption of service.

Third-party payment portals: We do accept payments made through third-party websites/vendors, but we cannot guarantee when those payments will be received from those vendors. Please note: If your account is subject for disconnection, please choose another payment method so there will not be an interruption of service.

Bank Draft:  By providing us your bank routing and account number, we can set your account up on Automatic Bank Draft.  If you are interested, please call our Billing Department at (336) 356-8241 and you can fill out the digital bank draft form.  Your account will be drafted based on your billing cycle so contact our office to get that information.

Debit or Credit Card Recurring Payment:  If you would like to have a debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) set up on an automatic payment, please visit our online payment section to set this up or contact a representative in our office for assistance. 

Budget Billing:  Are you a member who lives on a fixed income or would like to know what to expect each month on your power bill?  By enrolling in our Budget Billing Plan, you can choose any of the preferred payment options above and  ease any worries associated with fluctuating power bills by paying a fixed amount for energy each month.  Those members with residential accounts who have at least 12 months of billing history at their current location are eligible to enroll in the Budget Billing Plan.  The monthly payment amount is computed from the average of the last 12 month's usage.  We perform an annual recalculation of these payments in June of each year with the new payment amounts reflected on the July bills.  If you have a credit in June we will apply that to your account.  If your usage increased from the previous year and you used more than was budgeted, we will send you a bill stating the amount due in June.

In order to remain on the Budget Billing plan, the monthly payment must be paid when due.  Failure to pay on or before the due date will automatically remove your account from this plan.  If you wish to sign up for the Budget Billing program, please contact our Billing Department at (336) 356-8241 or 1-800-682-5903.
