Executive Order 142 extends disconnect suspension

On Saturday, May 30, 2020, Governor Roy Cooper signed Executive Order 142. In accordance with EO 142, Surry-Yadkin EMC will not be disconnecting for nonpayment, or charging late fees or penalties.

While disconnects are suspended, members are encouraged to make payments as they are able in order to avoid a large past due amount.

EO 142 also addresses additional instructions regarding payment arrangements for members with a past due amount related to the COVID-19 executive order time frame that began March 31, 2020.
