SYEMC hosts blood drive

May 10, 2022

DOBSON - Surry-Yadkin Electric Membership Corporation (SYEMC) held a blood drive on Tuesday, May 10 at their main headquarters in Dobson, NC. Staff and community members were encouraged to participate in the event in an effort to give back to community members in need. The event proved to be successful as almost all participants were able to donate.

“We are always seeking opportunities for our staff to give back to the community. Hosting a blood drive is something that benefits several people, and not only allows for staff participation, but member participation as well. We are fortunate to have the support system that we do,” said Wendy Wood, Manager of Communications and Community Relations. Wood also wanted to extend a ‘thank you’ to the donors, volunteers, and to those who generously donated food for the event.
