“I love the opportunity we have to engage with our members through social media, special programs, events, community meetings, and even just a good old phone call to discuss an issue or concern. I grew up in Asheboro and my grandparents had a farm I would visit and work at in the summer. I can still remember them talking about the REA and how important it was for them. My grandmother was raised in the Rockford community of Surry County and I feel she would be proud that I now live in this area and work daily at an electric cooperative. I consider it an honor to be a part of SYEMC and I am excited about our future. I hope to continue the tradition of building strong relationships with our member owners as each of you are the reason we are successful!"
