Cindy Loredo, human resources and executive assistant to the general manager and the board of directors, has been a dedicated employee of SYEMC since 2018. During her employment, she has held the roles of cashier, member services representative I, member services representative II, work order accounting clerk and HR assistant.
Loredo is a 2012 graduate of Surry Central High School. Following school and prior to her employment at SYEMC, she has worked in a number of roles, including auctioneer assistant at Mount Airy Stockyard, lead teller at Wells Fargo, and call center manager at Carport Central.
“I have lived in Surry County all my life. My parents have owned a Hispanic store since I was 4, where I learned the value of hard work and a strong work ethic.”
Of her work at the co-op, she said, “I love working at the co-op because it feels like more than just a workplace. The positive atmosphere, supportive coworkers, and family-like culture make it a place I genuinely enjoy being part of. It has been especially meaningful to work for an organization that has believed in me, invested in my growth, and provided opportunities to advance in my career.
“I also take pride in being part of an organization that is committed to giving back and making a positive impact in the communities we serve. It’s truly rewarding to work for a place that truly cares about its employees, member-owners and community.”
Loredo and her husband of eight years are parents to Santiago and Violeta, who keep them busy and bring joy to their lives. She enjoys a quiet lifestyle centered around her family, and she values the relationships and moments that matter most.
