Larry Minoso has been employed at Surry-Yadkin EMC since 2022. He began his career at the cooperative as a member support specialist and has since held the title of lead member support specialist and most currently, manager of member services. Minoso received an Associate in Arts degree from Surry Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Winston-Salem State University.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Larry and his family moved to North Carolina in 1999. He graduated from Elkin High School in 2005 and has always been an active member of the community having worked in retail at AT&T stores in Elkin, Mount Airy and High Point. Minoso excelled in this position for 13 years, becoming a manager at the High Point and Mount Airy stores – a role that helped prepare him for the job responsibilities he has today at SYEMC.
“I appreciate the daily opportunity to serve our member-owners by addressing their concerns, providing solutions, and ensuring they feel both heard and supported,” said Minoso on his role at SYEMC.
When he isn’t working, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and their children, Galilea and Caleb. He also enjoys playing the piano and leading worship at his church.
